The Best Beaches In The U.S. To Spend A Day Just Chilling

There’s nothing better than spending a little quality time relaxing on a beautiful beach with the a cool breeze and the peaceful sound of waves crashing around you.  We’re very fortunate in the U.S. that we have some amazing beaches to visit.  Unfortunately, there are so many beaches that it’s sometimes hard to select the perfect one for your next trip.

Luckily, that’s where TripAdvsior can help.  They just released their 2018 best beaches guide.  This list, which is part of their Travelers’ Choice Awards, is created by its readers and takes into account the reviews that its traveling loving fans provide.  So without further ado, here are the best beaches for 2018.

1. Clearwater Beach

Located in Clearwater, Florida, Clearwater Beach is one of the most popular beaches in America. And for good reason, the located makes it a perfect combination of water, waves, and sand.

2. Siesta Beach

Part of the Siesta Keys in Florida, Siesta Beach is what postcards are made of.   The sand is 99% pure Quartz, soft and cool on the feet. Perfect for all day relaxing.

3. Ka’anapali Beach

One of the best beaches in the word. Ka’anapali beach is located in Maui. Its famous for its calm waves, beautiful scenery, and great snorkeling.

4. South Beach

When you think of Miami, you think of South Beach.  Cool, hip, and sexy.  South Beach has all the trappings to make it one of swankiest places to go.

5. Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve

Hanauma Bay was declared a protected marine life conservation area and underwater park in 1967.   Formed within a volcanic cone, today Hanauma Bay offers a pristine marine ecosystem after the City and County of Honolulu laid out a plan in 1990 to restore the “curved bay,” after years of use from the millions of visitors who visit and love to snorkel Hanauma Bay.

6. Fort Lauderdale Beach

With over seven miles of pristine beach, Fort Lauderdale, FL consistantly ranks among the top beaches for both families and spring breakers.

7. Saint Pete Beach

Located on a barrier island, west of St. Petersburg, St. Pete is of the full of history. A 1928 landmark, the pink Moorish-style Don CeSar Hotel looms over the shore.

8. Hollywood Beach

Nestled between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, Hollywood Beach is known for its beautiful stretch of coastline, perfect for your next family vacation.

9. Santa Monica Beach

Santa Monica State Beach, located in Santa Monica, California, is an iconic beach that draws visitors from around the globe. It is three miles long and covers 245 acres of soft sandy beaches.

10. Lanikai Beach

Lanikai Beach is located in Lanikai, a community in the town of Kailua and on coast of Oahu. The name Lanikai means “heavenly sea.” This small half-mile strip of beach is consistently ranked among the best beaches in the world.
